Macroinvertebrate Survey

WAVE Macroinvertebrate Collection - Saturday, August 15, 2026

 

Join TGF members in a macroinvertebrate survey as part of the NYDEC WAVE (Water Assessments by Volunteer Evaluators) program. We will collect or sample macroinvertebrates, or "stream bugs," which serve as the "canaries in the coal mine" to help the DEC assess whether wadeable Catskill streams are affected by pollution.
