Greetings from the Outings desk!
Theodore Gordon Flyfishers (TGF) is returning to Coburn, PA and Penns Creek to what has become our third annual trip. It is an epic trip in every way. Lots of water; lots of fish and lots of fun! We will convene from April 23–26th where we have secured two houses for a total of eleven anglers. One house has 4 beds and the other house has 7 beds. In addition to the houses, there are several local lodging options that are also available:
The Feathered Hook (Coburn)
The Aaronsburg Inn
The Millheim Hotel
Centre Mills B&B
The Nature Inn at Bald Eagle
The Hampton Inn at Lamar
For the lodging options, you will need to make your own arrangements.
As in previous years, we will provide breakfast, dinner and lunch fixings. Together we can spend our days on the water inconveniencing fish and visiting local fly shops to buy additional gear and flies that we don't need. But that's the way we roll!
As of this writing there are 2 beds available in the 7-bed house with a cost of $285 per person. As of this writing there are 4 beds available in the 4-bed house at a cost of $350 per person. Please note that this full amount is due upon sign-up, regardless of the length of your stay. Additionally, each fee includes a $50 donation to the TGF Conservation Fund, a restricted fund where 100% of donations support shovel-ready stream restoration projects. For those opting to stay at local lodging, there is still a $50 donation to the Conservation Fund in order to participate!
Food costs for group meals (typically ranging from $35 to $60) will be split among participants. We will calculate these expenses during the outing, so please bring cash to settle your portion. Please note that any meals at local restaurants are not included in this cost.
These outings are a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow members, make new friends, and enjoy a memorable time on the water. Needless to say, this is a good time and a great way to support TGF.
