Each year Theodore Gordon Flyfishers holds its annual Conservation Fund Dinner to raise funds for its continuing work on such conservation projects as the Beaverkill Restoration Project which is working to improve trout spawning habitat on the Beaverkill River.
In addition it takes significant funding to ensure that TGF's voice of conservation is heard on such issues as the regulation of water flows on the Delaware River, the limitation of potentially damaging development on rivers such as the Neversink and Beaverkill, and the protection of cold water fisheries from hydro-fraking in the Marcellus Shale of the Catskills and the Delaware River basin.
At this year's dinner we will be honoring John Adams, Founding Director of the Natural Resources Defense Council with The Ed Zern Salmo Award, given for outstanding contributions to conservation. And we will again be presenting the annual Founders Fund Scholarship to a student dedicated to a career in the environmental sciences.
TGF depends on your active and generous support to continue its defense of cold water fisheries and clean waters.
You can make a direct contribution for conservation now even if you are unable to attend the Conservation Fund Dinner, using the Paypal option which is part of this invitation or on the TGF website as well. Or go to the TGF website itself, www.tgf.org, to order tickets and make a contribution for conservation.
